1. Shingles: What Are Shingles?

SHINGLES

(Potentially Serious, Even Fatal)

Half of the people who have had Chicken Pox will develop Shingles, usually at, or after middle age. That's one out of every two people who have had Chicken Pox. Are you one of those at risk? Do you have information about Shingles? The affects of Shingles can be surprisingly severe....not something to ignore or neglect.

As one ages, they generally begin to pay more attention to their physical health. That is great. There cannot be too much information about your personal health. But, many people have laughed at the childhood disease, Chicken Pox, not knowing that it's virus is retained in the body. That virus can remain dormant for years, or forever. It can, also, become active at anytime with no warning and for no known reason.

The active virus results in Shingles. Nine of every ten people in the United States has had Chicken Pox. Of those, one of every two will experience Shingles, usually in their older years. A million people have a break out of Shingles each year with about half of that number being age 60 or more.

Presently, no one knows what makes the virus become active. I, personally, believe that it has to do with extreme stress in a person's life, perhaps emotional. I believe that from observation of those who I know personally that suffered with Shingles. But, there is no scientific evidence to support that idea.

The symptoms indicating Shingles are varied, making it difficult to diagnose in the early stages. The virus affects the nerves and may create itching, tingling, and burning along a nerve’s pathway. Later, small blisters usually appear, beginning first as a rash. This can be irritating in the least or painful in the extreme. This rash and blistering can last for weeks, up to 30 days.

As the rash heals, the pain usually diminishes but this is not true for everyone. Some people have discomforting sensations for months or years after the rash has healed. The medical community has labeled the condition of lingering discomfort from Shingles. It has been named Post Herpetic Neuralgia...PHN for short.

PHN pain has a wide range from burning, throbbing, stabbing, shooting. Some patients have reported that even a warm breeze or the touch of clothing on the skin causes extreme discomfort. Other serious complications of Shingles can be scarring, infections, weak muscles, hearing and vision damage.

This report is intended to encourage the reader to speak with their medical care professional about Shingles. Avoiding the disease may not be possible, but perhaps the complications described by others can be avoided.

2. What Your Computer Person Won't Tell You

Thirteen THINGS...Your Computer Person Won't Tell You

Turn it off, turn it back on. Nine times out of ten, rebooting your computer...and any equipment that connects to it...will solve the problem," says Aaron Schildkraut, who owns a home tech-support service in the New York tri-state area.

Just because we're "buddies" at work, don't expect me to come running every time you've got a problem to fix.

We're like Santa: we know if you've been bad or good. Fessing up to what really happened right before the system crashed is going to save time... and I'm going to figure it out anyway.

Use "strong" passwords. Geek Squad agent, Derek Meister, suggest combining letters and numbers...but, not your birth date...to create a "base" password start with your spouse's initials and your anniversary date... say, SP061789. Your Amazon password might be "SP061789AM."

Make sure you have current anti-virus and anti-spyware protection. Set it to update at least once a day and run a full-system scan at least once a week.

There is no FREE lunch. Downloading free music, movies, and games from file-sharing sites can open holes in your system for others to exploit. Play it safe and use established services like Rhapsody, iTunes, and Netflix.

Remember: PUBLIC WI-FI is PUBLIC. If you don't have a compelling reason to check your email- or bank account while sipping a latte at the mall, don't do it. While you're on a public network, even one that's encrypted, a nearby hacker can capture your passwords.

Give it a Rest. Turning off your computer when it's not in use saves energy and clears out the RAM, or temporary memory, which would otherwise slow your machine over time. If you can't get online, call you Internet service provider first. Connection problems can often be checked and fixed---free.

No, you can't use your cell phone to pop popcorn! Next time an internet rumor drops into your inbox, don't just pass it on--check it out at snopes.com first.

Sometimes we talk about you...in code. If you hear, "HKI error" (human-keyboard interface) or "PEBCAK" (problem exists between chair and keyboard), we are insulting you.

If you don't understand me, I'm not doing my job. Confusing tech jargon is a sign of insecurity, not intelligence.

3. A Southern Marketing Company By Micki Scheuerman

Southern Marketing Company Prepares for Major Product Release

Magnolia Marketing CoOperative is a marketing company established in September of this year by two ladies from Mississippi, Micki Scheuerman and Dorothy Allen, who have dubbed themselves as The Evergreen Magnolias. They smiled as the company was tagged, "Marketing with Hospitality."

The Magnolia Marketing CoOperative has been established for the purpose of marketing, both on-line and off-line, a very specific product which has not yet been named. An announcement concerning the product and the Company's role in making that product available will be announced in the near future.

Both Dorothy and Micki realize that there is no shortage in the number of Internet Marketing Companies online these days but they have no intention of competing with them. "Our company is as unique as our product." responded Dorothy when asked about competition. "There is no competition when your one-of-a-kind company is offering a one-of-a-kind product."

Micki, a long term Internet marketer, is excited about both the company and the product. She believes that people, world wide, have been waiting for this product's development.

Micki explained that her ambition has always been to help others. She believes that this company and this product will be exactly what she needs in order to fulfill that ambition.

Other marketers may soon be able to work with the CoOperative in the distribution of the product. A pay plan is now on the drawing board and will be released when the product becomes available. In consideration of individuals who may be inexperienced in the area of Internet Marketing, The Co-Operative will present individual instruction on the planned marketing techniques for their product.

Contact information is being made available for those who wish to be informed of further developments.

4. Why I Did It !

They Said it Couldn't Be Done

How many times have you told your family or best friend that you were going to do something out of the ordinary and they told you, "Oh, don't do that! It won't work."

Did you feel so strongly about doing that something that you became driven to prove that you could do it?

Two of my three son's told me it would never work! I smile about the youngest son because he still thinks his Mother can do what ever she sets her head to do! When I decide to do something, I put my all into it. It might take me a little longer than some but I get it done. I have faith in God and I ask for His strength!

My experience with the computer and my decision to begin a home business started when I retired from public work in order to take care of my Mother. She could no longer live alone. My wonderful brother-in-law gave me my first computer! My Mother lived in a small town in Mississippi and I had to have something to keep me busy. Everyone considered this to be a hobby...something to take up my time and keep boredom from setting in.

When I got on the Internet and found that I could build a business by working at home... and take care of Mother at the same time... I felt I had the answer to my dreams!

I had a home business when my children were in the first, second and third grades at school. At that time, there was a volunteer person that oversaw a "sick room" at school. I did that job one day a week or more if needed. The rest of the five days a week, I cleaned, baked, cooked two meals a day and worked at home selling "Sarah Covington Jewelry".

The idea of working from home was nothing new to me. All I had to do was find the best product for me and figure out how to go about marketing that product. That took some time.

Now that I have given you some background, could I give some advice? I know you may not accept it, but, at least read it. I hope to help you make a better decisions which will, then, save you much time and money.

Do your searching first. Look around and get a feel for how others are transacting their business on the Internet. Do Not buy the first eBook that you come across, especially if it makes a lot of promises to make you rich. Chances are, you will be rich but not in a day, week or a month! It takes time. It takes understanding. It requires persistence and consistency. The timing depends on you and how fast you can lay your foundation, acquire the tools of the trade, and promote to your chosen market.

Please do not listen to people that tell you to "look outside the box!". The 'box' is YOU. What you need is all inside you. Find the real you and find your fortune! It's waiting.

To be honest, I did purchase one of the first eBooks I saw... "The Internet For Dummies"! This little eBook helped me to understand how, when, what and where about the Internet. I realize, now, that this was the first step in laying my foundation for an Internet home business.

There are countless eBooks out there. Some are filled of good information while others are full of untruths and hype! The advice to the Newbie is this: if it looks and sounds too good to be true, chances are it is not true. If it doesn't make sense, it is nonsense. An item is not true simply because it is written in a book or advertised on the Internet.

Look for honesty. You should be able to find the author or business owner's name by doing a Google search at www.google.com Check out how long they have been in business online and what kind of reputation they have built for themselves.

Yes, I have a great company. It has been in business, online, sense 1997. It has all I need to run my office like a “well oiled machine ". Also, I have a website, and am with a group of very caring, informative people who enjoy helping other people. There is someone available to give help night and day. My questions can be answered and my problems solved whenever I reach out. This type of service... and care... is not usual with most companies. The typical company wants you to sign up and pay. Then you don’t hear from them again.

Should I never hear from you, I hope I have helped you begin your journey. At any time you want a question answered or just talk to some one, I am here asking God's blessings on you, giving you faith in yourself and Him for the goals you seek. Find your Passion!
